1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and using EquiApp, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the app.
2. Eligibility
- You are 18 years or older (or have consent from a parent/guardian).
- You provide accurate, complete registration information.
- You are authorised to manage or represent horses, yards, or services within the app.
3. User Responsibilities
- Keep your login credentials confidential.
- Use the app for lawful purposes only.
- Ensure information you submit (including other users’ contact details) is accurate and shared with appropriate consent.
- Respect the rights of other users and stakeholders in the equestrian community.
4. Sharing Third-Party Information
If you add information about other individuals (e.g., owners, veterinarians, yard managers), you confirm that:
- You have their permission to share their personal information.
- The information will be used only for app features such as notifications and invitations.
5. Account Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms,
- Misuse the app or provide false/misleading information, or
- Engage in abusive or inappropriate behaviour toward other users.
6. App Features and Changes
We may update or change features at any time to improve functionality. We aim to notify users of major changes, but some updates may occur without prior notice.
7. Limitation of Liability
EquiApp and its creators are not responsible for:
- Any loss or damage resulting from the use of the app,
- The accuracy of user-submitted information (including horse data and contact details), or
- Actions taken by users based on app content or notifications.
Use of EquiApp is at your own risk.
8. Privacy and POPIA Compliance
Your personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy and in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time. See also our POPIA Compliance page.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts in relation to any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or your use of EquiApp.
